Hello,
I'm starting a new adventure today by beginning this blog. I'll be writing about a variety of things that are important to me as a believer in Jesus Christ. I'm sure I won't write every day; too many things going on, like now. I'm leaving shortly to head to Akron, Ohio for the OCEA Conference. I'll be presenting a three part workshop titled "Dealing With Sexual Sin."
I'm currently leading an inductive Bible study class on the book of Isaiah. We just finished Chapter 1 on Tuesday! What a book. We are seeing so much about God and ourselves, so you can count on hearing a lot about Isaiah in the months to come.

- After a four year quest to find out who Jesus Christ really is, God led me to join an inductive Bible study in September 1988. There I came to understand that Jesus Christ is God and as the sinless Son of God, He had died on the Cross to pay the penalty for sin and satisfy the wrath of God. I realized I had sinned against a Holy God and was headed to hell. I was broken and helpless to save myself. In my desparate state, I saw no other option but confess my sin and ask Jesus to forgive and save me in January 1989. I surrendered my life and my will to Him as I prayed, "Lord, don't just come into my life, take it over because I've made a mess of things. In my baptism class, responding to a question someone asked, the pastor said, "Christianity is a personal matter, but not a private one." That statement immediately became a guiding principal in my life and is the source of the name of the ministry (Personal But Not Private Ministries) through which I serve the Lord as I teach Bible studies, train others to use the inductive study method, teach and speak at churches, conferences and retreats, and conduct seminars and workshops.
